Peacock has always been a primary tying material because it works extremely well. Peacock has a natural iridescence that will refract light in many wave lengths which seems to attract fish. Now we have them in dyed colors giving the tier a new range on patterns that have traditionally used peacock. Try tying a prince nymph with the purple peacock.
